Our state understands that this is a huge army of people who are potentially capable of bringing the country’s economy to a new level of development. But in fact, the results directly depend on where the energy of all these people will be directed.

According to the World Tourism rankings, annually compiled by the World Tourism Organization, the ranking of the most tourism developed countries in the world is as follows:

Rank Country Arrivals of foreign tourists in 2016 1.0 France 82.6 million 2.0 USA 75.6 million 3.0 Spain 75.6 million 4.0 China 59.3 million 5.0 Italy 52.4 million 6.0 Great Britain 35.8 million 7.0 Germany 35.6 million 8.0 Mexico 35.0 million 9.0 Thailand 32.6 million 10.0 Austria 28.1 million

At the same time, less than 1 million foreign tourists visit Uzbekistan with all its rich architecture and historical monuments a year.

It would seem that Profile – ke.hot-line.shop there is an excellent solution: send millions of people living and working in our country to travel around Uzbekistan – and there will be millions of domestic tourists, the development of the tourism industry and tax deductions to the treasury. But it turned out that there are several logical obstacles to the development of domestic tourism:

The majority of the local population is not in the habit of traveling in Uzbekistan. From early childhood, young Uzbeks are brought up in such a way that they should always live next to their parents; there are no vivid examples of Uzbek travelers. Lack of sufficient supply in the tourism market. There is not a single integrator in the country through which one could conveniently and quickly purchase a tour of interest.

There are many scattered travel companies that target foreigners and are unable to reach more tourists than they already serve. Lack of a sufficient number of affordable hotels and hostels in the cities of Uzbekistan. As a result, the domestic tourist simply has nowhere to stay; as a result, often after several unsuccessful attempts to find a place in hotels in Samarkand or Bukhara, potential tourists give up and decide to stay at home. Lack of a sufficient number of buses, trains and airplanes within the republic. The number of flights of all types of transport per year is comparable to the number of flights in any major European city per day.

The main points of the tourist infrastructure – bus stations – are generally closed, and train stations and airports serve a very low number of flights. The relative poverty of the general population and the inability to spend 1-2 million soums per person in 4-5 days. According to the State Statistics Committee, the average monthly nominal accrued wages in Uzbekistan in June 2018 amounted to 1.75 million soums

In order for the tourism industry of the country’s economy to develop freely, the state, with varying degrees of success, is taking a whole range of measures, thanks to which the situation is changing for the better. On July 10, 2018, an important step was taken in the development of hostels. To stimulate the development of infrastructure for low-budget tourism and hostel business, as well as create a large number of rooms throughout Uzbekistan, changes have been made to the state standard O’z DSt 3220, which make it possible to significantly reduce costs when creating and organizing hostels.

Hostels are budget hotels that provide accommodation as well as food or cuisine. The difference between a hostel and a hotel is in the price; usually hostel accommodation is several times cheaper. This is achieved due to the fact that hostel clients pay only for a bed in a shared room.

The most important factor in the attractiveness of hostels is their demand for young people with a low level of income, which means that this is the most promising type of accommodation for the bulk of domestic and foreign tourists.

To understand how this business is organized, to understand what has changed in it recently and whether it is difficult at all to open your own hostel, The Mag talked with one of the founders and founders of the Trip.LE hostel Davron Tukhtaev, as well as with Sardor Saidmukhamedov – one of the founders and founders of the “JULES VERNE HOSTEL” hostel.

Trip.LE and Jules Verne are two large new hostels that opened in Tashkent after the introduction of changes in the state standard, although the certification of the services of both hostels used the requirements of the previous, not yet lightweight standard.

Sardor Saidmukhamedov.
